Serger Techniques Class: Zippered Tablet Bag with MaryAnn
Duration: 6 hours
Sessions: 1
This project is created entirely on a serger, making it a perfect class for anyone looking to expand their overlock skills. MaryAnn will offer several design alternatives so you can customize your bag and make it truly your own.
You’ll learn how to construct a functional, versatile bag featuring two external pockets and two interior pockets, all finished with clean, professional binding. If you’re working on an overlock‑only machine, you’ll explore decorative options such as a beautiful overlock edge or corded piping in place of traditional binding.
The second side of the bag incorporates ruffling, giving you hands‑on practice with gathering techniques and adding texture to your project.
By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a polished, one‑of‑a‑kind bag—and the confidence to apply these serging techniques to countless future projects.
