Create a stylish, modern sweater with a pleated sleeve detail that elevates this project beyond a basic sweatshirt. This is a great project for the "advanced beginner sewist" who is ready to learn new techniques and build confidence with garment construction.

This is NOT a beginner class. Students should already be familiar and comfortable using a sewing machine.

During this class, you will learn how to:

• Read and work with a sewing pattern
• Cut your fabric accurately
• Construct and attach sleeves
• Create and sew shoulder pleats
• Hem the sweater
• Finish the neckline for a clean professional look

Materials needed: 

• 2 yards of stretch knit ponte fabric

• Neutral colored threads
• Sewing essentials like scissors, seam ripper, marking pen, rotary cutter, pins and clips, rulers, tape measure, chalk etc.
