Sewing With Knits: Make a Tee Shirt with Catherine Petrosino
Duration: 6 Hrs.
Sessions: 1
If you've been sewing garments, but have been hesitant to use a knit fabric, then this workshop is for you. In this all day class you will be sewing a tee shirt using either The Lark Tee or The Hemlock Tee patterns by Grainline Studios. Either garment can be made using a regular sewing machine (yours must have stretch stitches) or a serger, so both techniques will be covered in class. Hems can be made on either a cover stitch machine (if you have one) or on a regular sewing machine.
The Lark Tee is a slightly fitted tee shirt with various neckline styles and 3 sleeve lengths to choose from. This pattern comes in sizes (0-18).
The Hemlock Tee has a boxy fit, comes in 3 lengths and 3 sleeve lengths to choose from. This pattern comes in either size set (0-18) or (14-32), so make sure to purchase your correct size.
If you have any questions about the class, please email Catherine@sewright.com in advance. Since this is an all day workshop, we will be taking a half hour lunch break, so bring your own lunch or grab something to go nearby.
