Curved Festive Placemats

Ready to step outside the straight line? This hand-on class is perfect for the advanced beginner who is ready to have a little fun with fabric and try something new!
Using two coordinating fat quarters, you'll learn how to cut freehand curved strips-no ruler required-and them reassemble them into a unique, eye-catching place mat. You'll explore curved piecing, learn how to work with the natural movement of the fabric, and finish your project with batting and backing.
You'll leave with a beautiful handmade placemat and a new technique you can use in future quilting projects.
Materials needed:
- 2 pcs coordinating fat quarters
- Neutral Thread
- Rotary cutter & cutting mat
- Sewing scissors and pins
- 2 pieces of batting
- Backing fabric
- Ruler for squaring up
