Crazy Quilt with Susan Louis

Session: 2 (July 7 & 14)

Here’s a great way to use your scraps, be it cotton, velvet, silk, even polyester as well as all those trims, buttons, beads and other accoutrements that have been just waiting to be used! Best of all you don’t need to worry about matching points. This project can be done by hand or machine. You can make a gorgeous pillow, a wall hanging or if you are brave a large quilt.

Materials you will need:

• If you want to work by sewing machine, a machine in good working order 
• Neutral color thread
• Small scissors and fabric scissors
• 4 pcs of 10.5 " OR  4 pcs of 12" squares (if you want to work bigger) of muslin or any cotton fabric 
• Lots of scraps (no tiny ones). You can use any type of fabric as long as it's not too thick. Fabrics with interesting designs, great textures.
• For embellishment - Small embroidered pieces, ribbons, buttons, trims etc.
