One Block Wonder with a Panel with Laurie Liang
Regular price
$270.00
Duration: 3 Hrs
Sessions: 2 (September 19, 26 and October 3)
In One Block Wonder panel quilts, you have the design challenge of using all or part of an original panel and creating hexagonal components as a design feature with stunning results. Everyone’s quilt will be a unique creation. Laurie will take you through the process of this technique.
Fabric Selection:
You will need seven repeats of a full-length panel (at least 24” in width) that has some vibrancy. Is there enough contrast, color, or design in the panel? Panels that have muted colors will not work successfully. Panels that have been separated into smaller block units will not work as well. Do not prewash your fabric. You can refer to the Sew Right Sewing Machines You Tube channel and look for my video about the appropriate type of panel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-D0deFP4UUA&t=29s
